Tangibility
To state the obvious - air is unseen. Science tells us it exists and it is necessary, but our full understanding comes obviously from recognising that it enables our survival, and also the way wind constructs a tangibility about air that solidifies our knowledge of its existence.
God, along with air, is equally as unseen - if not more. However, science has failed to prove that God does or does not exist, and there seems to be such a common belief that there is nothing in this world that can prove Gods’ tangibility. Nothing? No. As Christians, God has to be tangible in us, as us. It’s not churches that bring people to Christ, it’s the individuals that make up the church. We have to represent Jesus in a society where Jesus doesn’t exist.
We have to prove the heart change that Christ provides by his Spirit, and that heart change is shown by our behaviour, actions, what we say and how we love.
“If we are not willing to wake up in the morning and die to ourselves, perhaps we should ask ourselves whether or not we are really following Jesus.”
- Donald Miller
